Una comedia ironica que narra el romance estrafalario de dos inadaptados. Lily es timida, poquita cosa, dulce y rara. Este ultimo es el calificativo que mas abunda sobre ella, la causa de que a sus espaldas todos la senalen a carcajadas. Aun asi, para Lily eso no es motivo de amargura, al contrario: es feliz sabiendose distinta. Trabaja como cajera en un restaurante de comida rapida, y ya ni escucha las burlas de sus propios companeros. Esta demasiado pendiente de una hora concreta al mediodia, porque ese es el momento en que aparece para comer Jarrod, alguien como ella, otro inadaptado. Jarrod trabaja en una tienda de videojuegos, se considera un genio y sale de una depresion para meterse en otra. Jarrod prepara una fiesta de disfraces donde cada invitado se vestira como su animal favorito. El suyo es un aguila, el de Lily un tiburon.
